Fiorentina midfielder Edoardo Bove has been discharged from the hospital after surgery to implant a removable heart starter device following his collapse during a Serie A match. Bove will have the option to remove the Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillator (ICD) and return to playing in Serie A. Christian Eriksen, who also had an ICD fitted after a cardiac arrest, was unable to continue playing for Inter Milan and eventually joined Brentford after his contract was terminated.
