Airline Grounds Eight Planes Due to Seat Cover Problem

Finnair has grounded 10% of its fleet, specifically eight Airbus A321 aircraft, due to unverified fire protection ratings of seat covers, resulting in approximately 70 flight cancellations affecting 11,000 passengers since October 13. The airline is replacing around 1,700 seat covers and leasing two additional aircraft, with plans for all affected planes to resume service by the end of the month.
