Thief steals hundreds of pounds of furs from fort celebrating Francophone, Métis, First Nation heritage

A thief recently scaled the wooden gates of Fort Gibraltar, a national historic site in Winnipeg’s St. Boniface neighbourhood, stealing thousands of dollars in furs intended for public demonstrations of fur trading life from 200 years ago.
