FBI thwarts man’s alleged plan to attack Nashville power grid with explosive-laden drone

A Columbia, Tennessee man, Skyler Philippi, was arrested by the FBI for attempting to fly a drone packed with explosives into an energy facility as part of a violent white supremacist plot. Philippi planned to use firearms and drones with explosives to attack substations to disrupt critical infrastructure, but was arrested before causing harm. Charged with attempted use of a weapon of mass destruction, he faces life in prison if convicted.
