Favourable winds have led to a slight improvement in Delhi’s air quality, moving it from “very poor” to “poor” category over the last two days, with an AQI of 255 recorded on Saturday. Six stations, including Anand Vihar and Wazirpur, remain in the “very poor” category, while neighbouring areas like Gurugram have better air quality. PM10 and O3 were the main pollutants, with the transport sector being the biggest contributor to pollution, as Delhi Environment Minister Gopal Rai emphasized the urgent need to address air pollution in the region.
