SINGAPORE: Billionaire tech entrepreneur Forrest Li, owner of Lion City Sailors, is set to become the president of the Football Association of Singapore (FAS) after his slate was the only one to qualify for the upcoming council election on April 28. Li aims to restore pride and unity in Singapore football, emphasizing the sport’s role in community upliftment, and will be supported by a team including Tampines Rovers chairman Desmond Ong and national team captain Hariss Harun. The election will also feature individual votes for additional council members, including former footballers and the only female candidate, Yeong Sheau Shyan.
