Farmer dies at Shambhu, 36th since protest started 1 year ago | India News

In Bathinda, another farmer protesting for minimum support price died at Shambhu border, raising the death toll to 36 since the protest began nearly a year ago. The deceased farmer, Pargat Singh, from Amritsar district, collapsed suddenly and was rushed to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Farmer leader Sarvan Singh Pandher called for compensation and urged the government to address the farmers’ demands promptly to prevent further loss of life.
