The family of a 4-year-old Oregon child, M.L., has filed a $22 million lawsuit against dentist Dr. Dustin M. Davis and anesthesiologist Lane D. Robinson for medical negligence after the child suffered severe brain damage from an overdose of sevoflurane during a dental procedure, resulting in cardiac arrest and the need to relearn basic functions.
The lawsuit claims inadequate monitoring led to the child’s brain damage, and despite spending six weeks in the hospital, M.L. has not fully recovered.
