Facing the fear of water: Refugees learn to swim in Lesbos

On the east coast of Lesbos, a group of 30 people, including refugees with traumatic experiences crossing the Mediterranean, participate in a swimming class organized by Yoga and Sport with Refugees (YSR) to promote physical and mental health. Participants introduce themselves, some proudly stating their ability to swim while others admit their lack of experience. Instructors guide the swimmers, dividing them into groups based on skill level, with some hesitant to enter the sea but encouraged by their peers to take it slow and enjoy the experience.
