A pōhutukawa tree that fell at The Sands apartment complex in Takapuna has resulted in a $130,000 removal cost, which will be shared among all residents. Graeme Marwick, the body corporate chairman, confirmed that the expense has already been covered. Additionally, local board member George Wood revealed that tree-related work in the area has totaled $560,000, including $190,000 allocated for engineering tasks.
