AI technology from Herd-i is revolutionizing the rural sector by detecting lameness in cows using a camera and computer program, providing accurate scores based on data from human-generated comparisons. This innovative system not only identifies early signs of health issues, such as lameness caused by hoof lesions, but also serves as a valuable monitoring and training tool for farm managers and staff. With positive feedback from farmers, Herd-i is now seeking 100 participants to trial their new Body Condition Scoring system, showcasing the growing importance and benefits of AI in modern farming practices.
