Judge sentences former Harvard Medical School morgue manager for stealing organs and various body parts for sale to others.

Cedric Lodge, the former manager of the Harvard Medical School morgue, has been sentenced to eight years in prison for stealing and selling body parts from cadavers donated for medical research. Lodge, who admitted to transporting stolen goods, took heads, brains, and other body parts, selling them to various individuals, including his wife, who received a one-year sentence. Prosecutors sought a ten-year sentence, citing the emotional harm caused to families of the deceased. Harvard Medical School condemned Lodge’s actions as inconsistent with their values and is facing potential lawsuits from affected families.
