Former FBI Director James Comey faced backlash after posting a now-deleted Instagram photo of seashells arranged to spell “8647,” which some interpreted as a threat against former President Donald Trump, who is referred to as the 47th president. Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem and others, including Tulsi Gabbard, called for accountability, with Noem stating that the Secret Service is investigating the situation. Comey later clarified that he was unaware of the violent connotation of the numbers and opposes violence, leading him to remove the post.
