Former Brazilian president Jair Bolsonaro has been hospitalized in Rio Grande do Norte state for abdominal pain, with his son Senator Flavio Bolsonaro confirming the news. Bolsonaro is being treated for an intestinal obstruction and may require surgery after undergoing CT and MRI scans in Natal. Despite being barred from running for office until 2030, Bolsonaro was planning a political trip across the northeastern region to promote his party’s agenda for the upcoming presidential election.
