Judge Kenneth D. Bell warned of potential repercussions in the antitrust lawsuit between 23XI Racing, Front Row Motorsports, and NASCAR, which is set to begin soon. The teams claim NASCAR’s practices create a monopsony, restricting competition and revenue through contractual limitations, including a ‘no-sue’ clause and non-compete agreements. Following failed negotiations over charter agreements, the lawsuit was filed due to disagreements over revenue distribution and charter value. NASCAR defends itself by asserting that the teams’ claims are merely a tactic for better contract terms.
