Euro zone inflation dips to 2.2% in March as U.S. tariffs loom

Annual Euro zone inflation decreased as expected to 2.2% in March, slightly below February’s 2.3% reading. Core inflation, excluding volatile prices, dropped to 2.4% from 2.6%, while services inflation fell to 3.4% from 3.7%. March inflation was lower than forecast in major euro zone economies, with Germany at 2.3%, Spain at 2.2%, and France at 0.9%.
