EU parliament to hold session marking 1,000 days of war

The European Parliament will convene an extraordinary session in Brussels on November 19 to commemorate 1,000 days since Russia’s attack on Ukraine, with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky scheduled to address MEPs. EP President Roberta Metsola reaffirmed the EU’s unwavering support for Ukraine and stressed the importance of honoring the bravery of the Ukrainian people. Additionally, Metsola’s visit to Kyiv on Europe Day underscored the European Parliament’s ongoing commitment to Ukraine and its European aspirations, as she met with President Zelenskyy, Prime Minister Shmyhal, and addressed the Verkhovna Rada.
