Sale Sharks and England forward Jonny Hill has received a 10-week ban, four of which are suspended, after physically abusing a spectator following Sale’s Gallagher Premiership play-off defeat at Bath. The RFU disciplinary panel found the circumstances to be exceptional and reduced the suspension due to substantial mitigation, requiring Hill to give a presentation to young players at the club. Sale Sharks accepted the ruling and look forward to having Jonny back on the pitch as soon as possible.
