England Rugby has introduced sanitary provisions at over 500 rugby clubs nationwide in an effort to boost women’s participation in the sport, as part of a legacy programme leading up to the women’s World Cup next year. Funding from Impact ’25’s investment fund has enabled the installation of 1000 sanitary products at clubs, alongside improvements to facilities like toilets and changing rooms, as part of the ‘Every Rose’ strategy aiming to increase female participation to over 100,000 by 2027. This initiative not only aims to enhance the club experience for women but also aims to break the taboo around periods and women’s sports, aligning with recent changes in women’s teams’ uniforms to address period anxieties.
