Pedestrians account for 41% of festive season road fatalities in SA
Transport Minister Barbara Creecy reported that 1 502 people died in 1 234 crashes during the festive season in South Africa, with pedestrians accounting for 41% of fatalities. Law enforcement issued over 711,000 traffic fines and made over 9,550 arrests, including 3,840 for drunk driving.
