El Paso Water planning major project in Northeast

El Paso Water is planning a major stormwater project in the Northeast, specifically the Will Ruth Pond Project, to address flash floods in the area. The $15.5 million project will collect stormwater from Dyer Street to prevent flooding downstream, potentially benefiting hundreds of homes by removing them from the floodplain and increasing property values. An open house event will be held on Jan. 23 for the public to learn more about the project and speak with El Paso Water’s stormwater project team.
