At least eight people were killed and over two dozen are missing after the Bhote Koshi River flooded, destroying the Friendship Bridge linking China and Nepal, with officials attributing the flood to an overflowing glacial lake in Tibet. Rescue operations are ongoing, with 57 people rescued; among the missing are six Chinese workers and three police personnel, disrupting trade between the two countries.
