Laos police have arrested eight staff members from NANA Backpackers Hostel in connection to a suspected mass methanol poisoning that killed two Melbourne teenagers and affected a third Australian. The victims, including Bianca Jones and Holly Bowles, consumed tainted drinks after receiving free shots at the hostel bar. The Department of Foreign Affairs is assisting the affected individuals and coordinating the repatriation of the deceased back to Australia.
