Hundreds of schools in New Zealand are falling short of the Government’s 2030 attendance target, with around 600 out of 2500 schools struggling to ensure 80% of students attend more than 90% of the time. Recent figures indicate that 58.4% of students attended regularly in Term 2, a 5% increase from last year, highlighting ongoing challenges outside the school environment.
