A coastal storm is forecast to develop off the southeastern U.S. this weekend, bringing heavy rain, strong winds, and coastal flooding to the East Coast, particularly along the Interstate 95 corridor, with a “slight” risk of excessive rainfall in the mid-Atlantic. While current models suggest 3-5 inches of rain, the storm has not yet been classified as a nor’easter due to uncertainty in its development, though threats will diminish after Monday.
