The Eurasian Group (EAG) identified over 600 individuals linked to terror financing networks this year, marking a significant success in their efforts to combat international terrorism funding. EAG chairman Yuri Chikhanchin highlighted the importance of identifying financing channels and financiers during the 41st plenary meeting, focusing on the need for enhanced collaboration among member countries. Discussions also included strategies to strengthen relations with Afghanistan and address the risks of terrorism in the region, while refraining from political discussions and emphasizing the importance of regulating cryptocurrencies to prevent money laundering and terror financing.
