Legendary manager Dusty Baker’s son, Darren Baker, has signed a minor league contract with the Chicago White Sox, as reported by USA Today’s Bob Nightengale. The 27-year-old second baseman, who previously played for the Washington Nationals, recorded seven hits in nine Major League games and stole 26 bases in 107 Triple-A games last season. Darren gained fame as a batboy during the 2002 World Series when J.T. Snow saved him from danger on the field. Dusty Baker will manage Team Nicaragua in the upcoming 2026 World Baseball Classic.
