49 stained-glass window fragments were anonymously returned to Dunfermline Abbey in November 2020, addressed to “Bob Brewse” and wrapped in a 2005 newspaper. Reverend Dr MaryAnn Rennie discovered the shards, along with a note from an anonymous sender named “CEEPS”, who confessed to taking the glass twenty years prior near scaffolding and expressed remorse for not returning it sooner.
