Fáilte Ireland is planning family-centered events in Dublin city centre for New Year’s Eve, moving away from the exuberant celebrations of the past. MCD has been tasked with organizing two alternative concerts, one on the southside in Sandycove from 4pm to 9pm, featuring music at Newtownsmith and fireworks on Dún Laoghaire’s east pier. Another concert will take place on the northside, providing a more subdued option for those looking to ring in the New Year in a different way.
