During the holy month of Ramadan, Dubai Police’s Suspects and Criminal Phenomena Department, along with police stations and strategic partners, have apprehended 47 street vendors and confiscated multiple vehicles used for illegal sale of fruits and vegetables, breaching public health and safety regulations.

Lieutenant Colonel Talib Mohammad Al Ameri, Head of the Infiltrators Control Section in the General Department of Criminal Investigation, stated that these arrests are part of the ongoing efforts to eradicate negative behaviors and ensure the utmost security and safety for the community.

Al Ameri emphasized the importance of avoiding purchasing food items from street vendors or unlicensed vehicles, as there are significant risks associated with such products in terms of origin, expiration, quality control, and compliance with health regulations. It is advised to only deal with licensed establishments for food needs to ensure health and safety.

He also mentioned that Dubai Police, in collaboration with partners, conducts regular monitoring and surprise inspections to catch violators, urging the public to report any suspicious activities to the authorities.
