Ethan Lehouillier, a 19-year-old from Georgetown, Ont., has pleaded guilty to three counts of impaired driving causing death and three counts of impaired driving causing bodily harm following a crash that killed three children in Toronto. The incident occurred shortly after midnight on May 18 when Lehouillier lost control of his speeding Dodge Caravan and collided with a minivan, killing siblings Ramone, Jace, and Mya Laviña-Galve. The other three occupants of the minivan survived. Sentencing is scheduled to begin on February 26, with the Laviña-Galve family expected to present victim impact statements.
