Drew Anderson Joins Detroit Tigers on 1-Year Contract

Drew Anderson has signed a one-year contract with the Detroit Tigers for the 2026 season, which includes a club option for 2027, pending a physical. The 31-year-old right-hander returns to MLB after four seasons in Asia, including two years in Japan and two in Korea, where he posted a 2.25 ERA in 2025. Anderson briefly joined the Tigers in 2024, appearing in nine games for Triple-A Toledo. He has a career MLB ERA of 6.50 over 44⅓ innings with previous teams including the Phillies and Rangers.
