After the recent presidential debate, down-ballot Democrats have begun to distance themselves from Joe Biden in an effort to protect their own campaigns. Many fear that Biden’s lackluster performance and controversial statements during the debate could negatively impact their chances of winning in November. Some candidates have even gone as far as publicly criticizing Biden’s positions and calling for him to address his weaknesses before election day.
