Detectives in Swanage, Dorset have arrested a 60-year-old woman on suspicion of manslaughter following the deaths of three people at a care home. Seven individuals were hospitalized after an early morning alarm at the Gainsborough care home, which was evacuated and residents moved to alternative accommodations. Ten ambulances, a hazard response team, and six fire crews responded to the incident, prompting an investigation by Dorset Police and the Health and Safety Executive into the unexplained deaths among the 48 elderly residents, some with dementia, who were provided temporary shelter by fire crews and local volunteers.
