DOJ Labels Minnesota Lawsuit Against ICE as Legally Frivolous
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

The U.S. Department of Justice has dismissed claims in a lawsuit from Minnesota seeking to halt a surge of ICE agents as “legally frivolous.” The lawsuit argues that around 3,000 federal agents are endangering citizens and violating constitutional rights, while the DOJ contends the Tenth Amendment claims lack legal merit. U.S. District Judge Katherine Menendez is considering a temporary restraining order against ICE actions. The lawsuit also alleges unlawful conduct by ICE, including warrantless arrests.
