Chinese and English influencers on Weibo, X, and Threads shared a photo purportedly showing a large crowd at a recent rally for Donald Trump in New York City’s Madison Square Garden. However, the photo was actually taken in 2011 in Dublin during a concert attended by Barack Obama. A comparison of the images revealed that the influencers had zoomed in and cropped the center of the original photo, leading to a false representation of the event.
