Doc Antle of “Tiger King” fame sentenced to 1 year in prison for animal trafficking

“Tiger King” star Bhagavan “Doc” Antle was sentenced to one year and one day in prison and fined $55,000 for violating federal laws on trafficking endangered animals and money laundering. He must forfeit three chimpanzees and over $197,000, having admitted to illegally buying exotic animals for his Myrtle Beach Safari, which charged visitors for interactions with them.
