Two children, August (7) and Hugo (5), along with their 1-year-old sister Goldie, died in a fire in Sanson, which police are investigating as a homicide. Their father, Dean Field, was also found dead at the scene. Mount Biggs School, which August and Hugo attended, acknowledged the tragedy in a letter to caregivers, expressing condolences and providing resources for supporting children during this difficult time. The investigation is ongoing, and further information awaits the coroner’s report.
