DLD Allows Freehold Conversion for Sheikh Zayed Road, Al Jaddaf Properties

The Dubai Land Department (DLD) has allowed private property owners in Sheikh Zayed Road and Al Jaddaf areas to convert their ownership to freehold for all nationalities, benefiting from increased market value and economic appeal. A total of 457 plots are eligible for conversion, with a 30% conversion fee based on property valuation, aiming to attract new investments and drive growth in Dubai’s real estate sector according to Dubai’s Real Estate Strategy 2033. Property owners can confirm eligibility through the Dubai REST smart app and submit an application for assessment and valuation to receive a freehold ownership title deed upon payment.
