Diwali 2024: Railways to run 254 special trains on Oct 29 to meet festive rush

Indian Railways has announced 254 special trains for Diwali 2024 to manage the festive rush, with trains operating on October 29. Routes include Delhi Jn to Darbhanga Jn, Jaynagar, and Bhavnagar Terminus, among others. Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw stated that 7,000 special trains will run for Diwali and Chhath Puja, with Northern Railway planning around 3,050 trips to accommodate the increased passenger traffic.
