Diver Pamela Ware announced her retirement after a successful career that included two Olympic Games appearances. In 2016, she narrowly missed a medal in the synchronized three-metre springboard event with Jennifer Abel in Rio, finishing seventh individually. At the Tokyo Games in 2021, Ware placed 18th in her final Olympic competition.
