A group of diners at Chadderton Bar and Grill in Greater Manchester left without paying their £234 bill after enjoying steaks and cocktails on Valentine’s Day. They used the ruse of going outside for a cigarette, with the restaurant owner, Lokman Gurbuz, expressing his heartbreak over the incident. Following a public appeal on Facebook, the group contacted the restaurant, claiming they would return to settle the bill, but have yet to do so. The restaurant shared CCTV footage to raise awareness among other businesses.
