A US judge has rejected Sean “Diddy” Combs’ request to postpone his sex-trafficking trial by two months, with jury selection set for May 5 and opening statements on May 12. Combs, 55, who has pleaded not guilty to five criminal counts including racketeering and sex trafficking, is accused by prosecutors of using his business empire to abuse women from 2004 to 2024, while his lawyers claim the encounters were consensual. Combs has been jailed in Brooklyn since September, as the court is also considering whether alleged victims can testify under pseudonyms.
