Recently, the model took to her Instagram Story to share that she was listening to one of Beyoncé’s new songs. This led some fans to speculate that it was a subtle dig at her husband Justin Bieber’s famous ex-girlfriend! The song she was vibing to? The remake of Dolly Parton’s “Jolene” by Cowboy Carter.
Hailey captioned a screenshot of the song with “whew 😤.” The choice of emoji alone hints at her feelings towards the track. See the post HERE.
It’s worth noting that the original song is about a woman flirting with someone else’s husband. While Beyoncé’s version has a different twist, the underlying theme remains the same. Listen to the song HERE.
Many fans have drawn parallels between Selena and Hailey in this context. The two women have been compared since Justin and Selena ended their relationship in 2018, only for him to quickly get engaged to Hailey afterward. Despite Hailey denying any beef last summer, fans believe there may still be some lingering tension. Reacting to her Instagram Story, some wrote on Twitter:
