EUGENE, Ore. (AP) — Oregon defeated Liberty 3-2 in Game 1 of the Eugene Super Regional, with Kai Luschar contributing three hits and an RBI, and Dezianna Patmon delivering a walk-off RBI single in the eighth inning. Oregon (52-8), the No. 16 seed, can advance to the Women’s College World Series with a win in Game 2. Staci Chambers pitched 2 1/3 scoreless innings in relief, while Liberty’s Elena Escobar allowed three runs in a complete game effort, and the teams exchanged leads with key hits throughout the match.
