Dentsu Creative India has secured the integrated creative mandate for Popeyes, the American fried chicken restaurant chain, following a competitive multi-agency pitch. The agency’s Gurugram office will be responsible for handling the account, as Popeyes currently operates 33 stores in 11 cities across India.

Gaurav Pande, executive vice president and business head of Popeyes India, expressed his admiration for Dentsu Creative’s strategic vision and creative expertise demonstrated during the pitch. He highlighted their ability to understand the brand’s essence, Indian culture, and their skill in creating engaging campaigns. Pande is confident that this partnership will bring a fresh perspective to Popeyes’ marketing efforts in India.

Ujjwal Anand, managing partner of Dentsu Creative India – North, shared his excitement about collaborating with Popeyes in India and building on the brand’s global reputation. Anand emphasized their commitment to continuing the brand’s legacy and capturing the hearts of Indian consumers.

Joy Mohanty, chief creative officer of Dentsu Creative India – North, acknowledged the challenge of winning over Indian food enthusiasts but expressed enthusiasm for the opportunity to integrate Popeyes into desi pop culture. Mohanty is optimistic about the potential to engage with Indian audiences and looks forward to the creative journey ahead.
