Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena inaugurated the 494 acres Yamuna Vatika in Delhi, focusing on restoring the floodplains of Yamuna to their natural state with green spaces and native tree species. The project includes a children’s play area, floral plantations, and a 47.5-tonne statue of Nandi, along with an ‘Ecological Zone’ and 24×7 open ‘Aarambh’ library in Old Rajinder Nagar. The library, equipped with various facilities, aims to provide affordable reading facilities to students following a tragic incident last year, with nearly 85% of seats already filled.
