The BJP government in Delhi approved the Mahila Samriddhi Yojana, a scheme aimed at providing economic support to eligible women in the national capital, with Rs 5,100 crore disbursed by the Centre for its launch. Under this scheme, women with an annual income of less than ₹2.5 lakh will receive Rs 2,100 assistance, excluding those employed in government jobs, paying income tax, or already receiving government pension. The scheme was approved at a cabinet meeting chaired by Rekha Gupta, according to Union Minister JP Nadda.
