A brown dog, believed to be a terrier or Staffordshire bull terrier, was discovered headless in a ditch near Broomfleet, East Yorkshire, leading authorities to suspect it was deliberately decapitated. The RSPCA noted that the head appeared cleanly cut off and that skin was missing from the shoulder area, possibly indicating an attempt to remove the microchip. Inspector Natalie Hill expressed concern about the circumstances of the dog’s death and urged anyone with information to contact them, while Humberside Police has been notified.
