Sacramento Kings’ De’Aaron Fox is opting to delay a three-year, $165 million contract extension this year to pursue a larger deal in the 2025 offseason with his agent Rich Paul. The All-Star point guard aims for a four-year, $229 million extension or a five-year, $345 million supermax deal by waiting. Fox, who averaged 26.6 points last season, is committed to Sacramento’s future and will make nearly $35 million this season before the regular season opener against the Minnesota Timberwolves on Oct. 24.
